In 2020, a highly demanding and technically significant project was completed in partnership with Howorth Air Tech in the UK, marking a key moment in safe Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient handling.
By integrating a Kinematica POLYTRON® mixer within the isolator system, the installation successfully met the operator protection requirements, achieving a task-based CPT of 50 ng/m³. This solution proved crucial for pharmaceutical environments dealing with API, HPAPI, ADC processing, sampling and dispensing, granulation, milling, and reactor charging.
Kinematica’s technology enabled sterile dispersion down to the nano scale, ranging from micro-batch processing to high-throughput configurations with SIP (sterile-in-place) capability.
Today, we look back on this project as a standout example of advanced engineering, containment reliability and pharmaceutical precision—one that laid groundwork for future joint innovations.
